Maybe you could try pinterest, you can create a collection of images there and it tracks the source for you (I believe). I wasn't meaning to cause a big mess, I just saw a couple of pieces of artwork of people that I either used to work with or currently work with and wanted to see them credited. Sorry to have been a debbie downer.
Anonymousunfortunately pinterest doesnt allow private boards so i feel like the same thing will happen. as soon as i figure out how to archive this to my harddrive i will probably use dropbox or make it a private tumblr for myself
Hi there! I just wanted to tell you that I've really enjoyed your blog. I know that this page may not have been intended to be public, but it's pretty hard not to gain traffic with a collection this thorough! At this point, the two responsible choices would be to start writing names or taking everything down... I'm sorry to hear that you have gone with the latter...but it's still a choice that's responsible to the artists. There aren't enough mech tumblrs. Cheers.
thanks man, yeah i thought about actually going through and giving credit to every piece but realistically i dont have the time to do that. my main respect and motivation is for the artists and they are feeling disrespected so i will not make things public

Anonymousok so im not sure which specific picture i added to my tumblr of his, but sometimes when work is featured on another site it might not be a watermarked image. this work is watermarked on his site:

again, should i have taken the extra time to write his name in the text box before i hit the reblog button? yeah probably. but mechblog was never ment for anything other than my own personal collection of pictures for my own use. i never promoted it, never tried to gain traffic, i just used tumblr because it was simple and easy and i could do it from other computers. that and i cannot make my main tumblr private.
unfortunately tumblrRipper is PC only and tumblr backup zip file link is broken so im still trying to find another method of downloading and archiving this tumblr before i take it down and move it to a private site. any suggestions would be appreciated.
I also wanted to point out that you have artwork posted that has been altered to REMOVE the true creators water marks.
